Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS)
University Overview
Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) is Iran’s most prestigious medical university and one of the leading institutions for medical education, research, and healthcare services in the region. With its internationally recognized faculties, advanced teaching hospitals, research centers, and extensive experience in international education, TUMS has become a preferred destination for students seeking medical and health sciences programs in Iran.
International Admissions
The international application process at TUMS is conducted entirely online and is free of charge.
Applicants are advised to determine their intended degree level, academic field, and study program before starting the application process and to prepare all required documents in advance. After successfully submitting an application, applicants receive a confirmation email and an application code.
TUMS follows a rolling admission policy, meaning applications are reviewed throughout the year as they are received. However, due to admission processing and visa requirements, applicants are strongly encouraged to submit complete applications at least five months before their intended semester.
The Fall semester generally begins in late September, while the Spring semester starts in early February.
Application Review Process
Once an application has been submitted, applicants are generally not allowed to modify the form or upload additional documents. Therefore, all information and documents should be carefully reviewed before final submission.
Incomplete applications are not processed and remain on hold until all required documents have been provided. Complete applications are reviewed by the International Admissions Office before being forwarded to the relevant faculty and department for academic evaluation. Final admission decisions are made by the Admission Committee.
The review process for complete applications typically takes between one and three months.
