Incomplete applications will not be processed. The Admissions Office will notify applicants of any missing documents, and the review process will remain on hold until all required materials have been submitted.

Complete applications are first reviewed by the Admissions Office and then forwarded to the relevant faculty and academic department for evaluation. Final admission decisions are made by the Admission Committee.

The review process for complete applications typically takes approximately three months.

Application Timeline

ZUMS follows a rolling admission policy, which means applications are accepted and reviewed throughout the year.

However, due to admission processing and student visa requirements, applicants are strongly encouraged to submit complete applications at least five months before their intended semester.

The Fall semester generally begins in late September, while the Spring semester starts in early February.

Applicants should also note that some academic programs may be offered only once per year.

English Language Requirements

Applicants are required to provide one of the following English language qualifications at the time of registration:

• TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 69

• TOEFL PBT with a minimum score of 525

The following applicants are exempt from providing an English language certificate:

• Native speakers of English

• Applicants whose previous degree programs were taught entirely in English

Applicants who do not meet the required language standards may be required to attend intensive English language courses before beginning their academic studies.

Conditional and Unconditional Admission

Successful applicants may receive either Conditional Admission or Unconditional Admission.

The university will communicate any specific admission requirements or conditions directly to the applicant.

Admission offers issued by ZUMS remain valid for one year from the date of issuance.

Student Visa Process

After accepting the admission offer, applicants must submit the Visa Application Form to the Admissions Office so that the university can begin the student visa process.

Student visa processing generally requires a minimum of six to eight weeks, and applicants are advised to plan accordingly.

Eligibility

International applicants from all countries are encouraged to apply.

However, Iranian citizens, including individuals holding dual nationality with an Iranian passport, are not eligible to apply through the international admissions pathway. Such applicants must enter the university through Iran’s Nationwide University Entrance Examination (Konkur).
